Up early to visit a place that a retired coach driver who camped next door to us at the Ohio State Fair had told us about.

Wait for it,,,,,, Roots Market at Intercourse. Stop smiling.

Heading out there we had the feeling that nothing was going to happen and the lead was a dud but as we rounded the bend it all came to life.

The next few hours were spent in a market lovers heaven. Everything you could imagine and no shit. From Maryland Crabcakes, smoked bones for dogs, clothing, collectibles, etc.

Amish peoples selling fresh produce together with Mr and Mrs from stuggle street in a large outdoor flea market.

Can't say any more about it.

From there we went to Target for Petal to collect a couple of necessity and then back to a Quilt store she had visited yesterday to buy a wall quilt hanging she liked. On further attention by the eye of Petal, the Quilt extraordinaire to point out to them that the quilt was not 100% cotton as promised by did in fact contain polyester. Gasp, little old lady ran for a fellow shop attendant who on inspection did confirm that it was Poly.

Now let me explain the Quilt building process in Intercourse. All colours and patterns are decided to by the owner who then farms out the project to Amish women who do differnet job in the assembly process. The actual maker of the quilt puts her initials somewhere in the embroiding. Now the assistants took note of this and removed the quilt from display and stated all the women were supposed to use 100% cotton.

Oh well that the end of that quilt although I dare say as we leave Intercourse it will probably be on display again for some unsuspecting foreign buyer. Not to my Petal it won't.

Off we go quilt hunting again and end up at Sylvias quilts where Petal finds a queen size quilt which she really likes. Yes they can post it home, yes that will be extra and yes it is now on its way to Utungun by United Postal Services.

The Petal is extremely excited and that ends the day for now and back to the campground for a few drinks and a relaxing evening. Late during the night the Witt children are out again but just chewing the fat and bustin their jaws with a few other kids.
We have decided to leave here tomorrow and head for a campground closer to New York so that we can get through the NY traffic early and dump all our gear at the hotel.
By the way we bought another suitcase at the markets yesterday to accomodate the growing inventory.
