Off to CHattanoogga today and parked the RV in a downtown park, with a bit of squeezing with the intention of going for a ride on the river in the Chattanooga Ducks (Military amphibious ducks). No such luck as he is booked out until 6pm and we wont be here then. So a quick haircut and a new pair of joggers and we have a coffee at Starbucks and catch the free shuttle electric bus to have a look at the city. We visit the CHattanooga Choo Choo which is now housed in the old railway terminal which has been converted into an hotel.
After that we drive to Madison near Huntsville and have a talk to some salesman about fifth wheelers and thats it for the day.
During the drive we found a National Park described as the Little Grand Canyon of the east coast.
We had arranged to check in early at Stone Mountain PArk so we depart and arrive at Stone Mountain at about 5pm to be told that the attractions at the park have been closed due to children going back to school early. Whats this?? Does bloody Disneyland close seeing the kids have gone back to school, don't think so.
Ok so we take up our site and decide to have a drive tomorrow.
Nice park and bed down until tomorrow.
